Fostering a circle of care for 2SLGBTQIA families
Seed and Sprout programs focus on inclusive reproductive support, queer & trans focused family education and community building.
Addressing the critical need for empowerment among 2SLGBTQIA+ individuals/families, Seed & Sprout responds to the lack of tailored programming and support, striving for a safer transition and enhanced well-being during their reproductive journeys. Our commitment is to create a transformative and supportive space through inclusive practices, impactful training, support groups, virtual education, and dedicated one-on-one support—placing the community at the heart of our mission for unity and support
Services for 2SLGBTQIA families in the Greater Toronto Area are limited. Current programming is primarily offered in Central Toronto and those who don’t live downtown are left with no support.
Seed & Sprout attempts to fill some of these service gaps by offering training to other organizations to be more affirming and inclusive, by providing virtual childbirth education to 2SLGBTQIA community, by providing full spectrum doula care and other family programming to encourage parent-child bonding.
Through these programs, Seed & Sprout hopes to create a welcoming and accessible space for families to connect and learn together while also educating the community at large about the importance of inclusivity in reproductive care spaces.
Mission:
Create space for 2SLGBTQIA community members in the Greater Toronto-Hamilton Area looking for reproductive support to receive care, education and connection with other families.
