Our Perinatal Support

Our doula services are designed to provide continuous, compassionate support through every stage of pregnancy, birth, and the postpartum period. Whether you’re preparing for labour, navigating delivery, or settling in at home with your newborn, we’re here to offer evidence-based care, emotional guidance, and advocacy tailored to your needs.

  • Our prenatal services are designed to help you prepare emotionally, physically, and mentally for your birth experience. We meet you where you are and provide evidence-based guidance so you feel informed, confident, and empowered.

    We support you with:

    • Up-to-date, evidence-based information to encourage self-advocacy and informed decision-making

    • Formulating realistic birth preferences that reflect your values, needs, and chosen place of birth

    • Modelling and encouraging effective communication strategies for you and your support person within your birthing team

    • Comfort measures such as position changes, acupressure, comforting touch, movement, visualization, relaxation, and breathing techniques

    • Feeding education and planning to help you feel ready for postpartum transitions

    • Continuity of care, ensuring consistent and compassionate support throughout your pregnancy

  • During labour and delivery, your doula provides continuous, hands-on, and emotional support for you and your birth team. Our goal is to create a calm and empowering birthing environment where you feel heard and respected.

    We help you by:

    • Offering comfort techniques for pain management and emotional grounding

    • Supporting communication between you, your partner, and healthcare providers

    • Providing encouragement, reassurance, and advocacy so your choices are respected

  • The early days of parenthood are a time of major adjustment. Our postpartum doulas offer compassionate, practical, and informed care to support your recovery and your baby’s transition to the world.

    We can provide:

    • Emotional support and space to process your birth experience

    • Assistance with newborn care and sibling adjustment, including feeding, bathing, diapering, and soothing techniques

    • A nurturing, restful atmosphere, allowing you and your supports to eat, nap, and take time for self-care

    • Meal preparation, grocery shopping, and light household help to ease your daily load

    • Feeding support and guidance on newborn sleep, development, and recovery from childbirth

    • Referrals to community services or specialists for needs beyond the doula’s scope of care
