YAY!
You Found Homer!
Homer is our sweet baby mascot here at Birth Mark. He was donated to our Giving Wall and our team fell in love with his adorable (…yet creepy?) eyes.
Homer is helping us raise awareness about Birth Mark and getting people to sign up for our current Fundraiser:
The Hand in Hand In Campaign.
Birth Mark is at risk of closing at the end of this year and that means, no more home for Homer!
It also means the loss of:
Free Birth and postpartum care for newcomers, low income, 2SLGBTQ+, BIPOC, youth, single parents, underhoused and homeless, and disabled communities meaning many folks and families will navigate the transition into parenthood alone. Birth Mark is one of the only places that travel to the clients to ensure continuity of care.
Free Infant Feeding support
Abortion Support outside of clinic
Abortion Support education for professionals and individuals
Perinatal & Parenting knowledge and support relied upon by clients.
Continuity of care in reproductive health care system
Further harm or violence caused by the system
Perinatal & Reproductive Care Workshops that city programs rely on to train their staff and educate their client base
Loss of donation center that multiple community doula programs clients rely on that help redirect monies to rent and food in our cities food and housing crisis
Help us keep Birth Mark’s Door Open and continue to show up for folks and families who need it in Toronto & Hamilton!
