Kira (she/her) is a doula and educator, currently training to be a social worker. She is a DONA certified doula, has completed 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training with Kula Annex, subsequent Prenatal Yoga Teacher Trainings with Toronto Yoga Mamas and Yogaspace, and attended an introductory Birthing from Within course. Kira has recently completed a Bachelor in Social Work at York University and is about to embark on a Master’s in Social Work at the University of Toronto.

Through prenatal movement classes, birth and postpartum doula support, childbirth education and more, Kira has worked with hundreds of parents as they prepare to grow their families and adjust to life with littles. Her approach is informed by an anti-oppressive worldview and whether she’s holding space, providing support and/or facilitating, Kira is aware of and responsive to the individual and their unique experience. As a queer person, Kira is passionate about addressing gaps in services for queer and trans families and has been working alongside Birth Mark to develop their 2SLGBTQIA Family Programming.

Kira lives in the west end with her partner and fluffy kitty, Moonee. When she isn't working, Kira likes being outdoors, going to movement classes, eating food made by her partner and taking naps with Moonee.
