Tina (she/her) is passionate about working with expectant families and is always humbled to be a part of such a life-changing experience for her clients. As a Birth Mark doula, she enjoys the opportunity to work with the Shelter Health Network in Hamilton, so that she can support her clients with unique needs, and help them to discover their inner strength, voice and confidence in their reproductive journeys. Tina is dedicated to helping her clients find solutions to help improve their circumstances and goals, and to gain equal access to quality reproductive health services.
Tina earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from York University and began her nursing career specializing in Obstetrics. She worked in labour and delivery as well as on the maternal-child unit at Women’s College Hospital and Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre in Toronto. Tina also has experience working with victims of sexual assault and domestic violence through her work with Halton Region’s Sexual Assault and Domestic Violence Centre based out of Joseph Brant Hospital in Burlington. She uses her past education, career skills and personal skills to provide a caring and supportive experience for her clients within her community.
Tina is currently retired from nursing and devoting her time working as a doula with Birth Mark Hamilton on the Shelter Health Network team. Tina is committed to continuing education and describes herself as a lifelong learner. She lives in Hamilton with her husband, two children, and her cat Mr. Pickles. In her free time, she enjoys cheering for her local sports teams and loves to attend live concert events.
